BiblioTECH Server Power Settings 

Overview :

The BiblioTECH Server must be set to not go to “sleep” or “hibernate” as this can result in inconsistent or corrupt data.

 

Prerequisites :

Windows Administrative level access to the Server.

 

Description :

Microsoft Windows 2003 Server

Start Control Panel, then Power Settings 

Select the Power Scheme Always On, then ensure Turn off hard disks is set to Never.
(
Turn off Monitor can be set as desired)

 

Microsoft Vista

Start Control Panel, then Power Settings 

Select High Performance, then click on Change plan settings. 

Ensure Put the computer to sleep is set to Never.
(
Turn off the display can be set as desired)

 

Microsoft Windows XP

Start Control Panel, then Power Options 

Select the power scheme Always On, then ensure Turn off hard disks, System Stanby and System hibernates are all set to Never. (Turn off Monitor can be set as desired)
